The Sure Step ankle Support System is based on an idea championed by Larry Gardner, a professional athletic trainer and a member of the prestigious National Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame. Larry’s concept for the Sure Step was developed during his long career as the trainer for the Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboy Football teams. As a trainer Larry noted his concern that there was not an ankle brace available that addressed his main concern; foot control. Larry’s concept was based on the simple fact that you cannot adequately control the ankle if you do not control the foot. Out of this basic premise theSure Step Ankle Support System was born.
